RASAC – Winchester Rape and Sexual Abuse Counselling service

 

RASAC provides free, confidential helplines and one-to-one counselling for women and men who have been sexually abused and/or raped, at any time in their lives.

The service is also for partners, relatives and friends and anyone who wants to talk about the effects of any unwanted sexual encounter, including sexual assault and sexual harassment.

We offer individual counselling by appointment, and telephone helplines are open three times a week. The counsellors operating the service are specially trained to understand the issues around sexual abuse and rape, and have on-going training and supervision.

Formerly called Winchester Rape Crisis, the service is based in the city but takes calls from all over Hampshire.

 

We provide:

·          Telephone helpline for women  

·          Telephone helpline for men

·          Face to face counselling - for an appointment for a preliminary session ring the helplines. Full disabled access.

·          Information on practical issues about police, legal and medical procedures, and support during these.

·          Information, support and advice for anyone working with or supporting survivors of rape or sexual abuse
