Savana provides information, support and confidential counselling for people who have been effected by rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment, or sexual violence within the home, whether recently or in the past or sexual abuse during childhood in Staffordshire and its environs including South Cheshire.
We support people to access the criminal justice system and relevant agencies. We also provide other services including training, awareness raising and outreach. We work in partnership to ensure the needs of sexually abused people are recognised and are addressed appropriately through referrals to other relevant agencies including other voluntary organisations, police, health and social services
|
Women only provision in separate unit. We offer an external training service to individuals and organisations, working with people who have experienced sexual violence, to further their professional development. This includes: •Responding to Disclosure of Sexual Violence • Honour Related Violence • Personal Safety at work • Looking Good, Feeling Great!
We also offer: talks and presentations to groups and for conferences on issues relating to our work; a number of volunteering opportunities; consultancy support to groups wanting to either set up as a rape crisis service or wanting support in developing their policies, procedures and range of service provision.
