As a registered charity, Rape Crisis England & Wales is managed by a Board of Trustees who all work in member centres either as staff, volunteers or members of management teams.

The Board members are elected by other rape crisis centres and represent rape crisis groups in regions, this way we ensure a broad countrywide perspective to our national work. At our Annual General Meeting, honorary and co-opted members are also elected.

Currently it is our aim that all commissioned projects or any additional funding for national work is managed directly by rape crisis centres and therefore we do not have a national office or central telephone number.

If you email us we may not be able to respond immediately. This means that we are unable to respond to a crisis situation by email.

If you need specialist sexual violence support more urgently you can call our National Freephone Helpline 0808 802 9999 between 12n – 2.30pm and 7pm-9.30pm every day of the year. Or visit our Centres information page to find contact and helpline details for your nearest Rape Crisis Centre.

MEDIA ENQUIRIES

Rape Crisis (England and Wales) does not have a dedicated Media Officer. All media enquiries should be sent to media@rapecrisis.org.uk where they will be dealt with on a case by case basis by a ‘Media Tree’ of experienced Rape Crisis Workers.  We may not, therefore, be able to provide an immediate response and would ask for your understanding and patience in waiting for a reply.
